Please read these Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) carefully before using EditDocs AI (“Service”, “we”, “our”, “us”) operated by EditDocs AI. By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree, you must discontinue use immediately.

By using our Service, you confirm that:

• You are at least 13 years of age (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country)
• You have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement
• Your use of the Service complies with all applicable local, national, and international laws

EditDocs AI provides an online platform that offers:

• AI-powered PDF processing (conversion, compression, editing, merging, splitting, OCR, etc.)
• Image format conversion tools
• Document-to-PDF and PDF-to-document conversion
• Natural language document processing via AI Studio chat
• Batch processing and workflow automation (paid tiers)

We offer both a free tier and paid subscription plans. Features available under each tier are described on our Pricing page.

• You may use core tools without creating an account
• An account is required for saved history, batch processing, and paid features
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account
• You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account at support@editdocsai.com
• We reserve the right to terminate accounts that violate these Terms

You may use the Service for lawful personal, academic, or commercial document processing.

You must NOT use the Service to:

• Upload, process, or distribute illegal, harmful, obscene, defamatory, or fraudulent content
• Violate any intellectual property rights of third parties
• Upload files containing malware, viruses, or malicious code
• Attempt to circumvent security measures, rate limits, or access controls
• Scrape, crawl, or systematically extract data from the Service without written permission
• Use the Service in any way that could disable, overburden, or impair our infrastructure
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the Service
• Resell or sublicense access to the Service without our written consent
• Use the Service to process documents you do not own or do not have authorisation to process

• Your content: You retain full ownership of all files you upload. By uploading, you grant us a limited, temporary, non-exclusive licence to process your files solely to deliver the requested Service output.
• Our content: All software, designs, trademarks, logos, and content created by us are our exclusive intellectual property and may not be copied, reproduced, or used without written permission.
• Output files: Processed output files belong entirely to you. We claim no ownership over converted, compressed, or otherwise processed versions of your documents.

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Key points:

• Uploaded files are automatically deleted within 60 minutes
• We never read, sell, or share your file contents
• All file transfers use TLS 1.3 encryption

The free tier is available at no cost. Paid plans are subject to our Payment Terms. By subscribing to a paid plan:

• You authorise us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis
• Prices are displayed in USD unless otherwise stated
• All fees are exclusive of applicable taxes (VAT, GST, etc.)
• We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

• We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure
• We do not guarantee the accuracy of AI-generated content (OCR, text extraction, etc.)
• We are not responsible for any loss of data resulting from use of the Service

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, EditDocs AI SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR BUSINESS GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE.

Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) USD $50.

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless EditDocs AI and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from: (a) your use of the Service; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) your violation of any third-party rights; or (d) any content you upload or process.

• You may stop using the Service at any time
• We may suspend or terminate your access immediately if you violate these Terms
• Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases; account data will be deleted per our Privacy Policy
• Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination shall survive

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If unresolved, disputes shall be submitted to binding arbitration, except that either party may seek injunctive or other equitable relief in a court of competent jurisdiction.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of material changes by updating the “Last updated” date and, where required, notifying registered users by email. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
