Payment Terms

These Payment Terms govern all financial transactions between you and EditDocs AI. By subscribing to a paid plan, you agree to these terms in addition to our Terms & Conditions.

Full plan details are available on the Pricing page. All prices are in USD unless stated otherwise.

• Monthly plans: Billed every 30 days from the subscription start date. Your subscription renews automatically on the same date each month.
• Annual plans: Billed once upfront for 12 months at a discounted rate (save up to ~30% vs monthly). Renews automatically after 12 months.
• Billing date: The date of your first successful payment becomes your recurring billing date.
• Free trial: If applicable, your card is not charged until the trial period ends. You can cancel before the trial ends to avoid any charge.

We accept the following payment methods, processed securely by Stripe (PCI-DSS Level 1 certified):

• Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover
• Apple Pay and Google Pay (where available)
• SEPA Direct Debit (EU customers)
• Bank transfers (Business plan annual only — contact billing@editdocsai.com)

We do not accept cryptocurrency, PayPal, or cash payments at this time.

• All payments are processed by Stripe. We never store, see, or have access to your full card number, CVV, or bank account details.
• All payment pages use TLS 1.3 encryption.
• Stripe is certified PCI Service Provider Level 1 — the highest level of certification in the payment industry.
• We store only your billing name, email, and last 4 digits of the card for reference.

• Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date.
• We will send a renewal reminder email 7 days before each annual renewal.
• For monthly plans, you can cancel anytime before the next billing date to avoid the next charge.
• To cancel, visit Account → Settings → Subscription or email billing@editdocsai.com.

If a payment fails (expired card, insufficient funds, etc.):

1. Day 1: We notify you by email and retry payment after 3 days
2. Day 4: Second retry attempt
3. Day 7: Third retry attempt
4. Day 10: Subscription is suspended; account reverts to free tier
5. Day 30: If unpaid, subscription is cancelled

During the retry period, your paid features remain active. Update your payment method at any time in Account → Settings → Payment Methods.

• Upgrade: Takes effect immediately. You are charged a pro-rata amount for the remainder of the current billing period.
• Downgrade: Takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No refund is issued for the remaining days at the higher tier.
• Plan change mid-cycle: All changes are tracked and your next invoice will reflect the accurate pro-rata adjustment.

• Prices shown are exclusive of taxes unless stated otherwise.
• EU customers: VAT is added at checkout based on your country of residence. You can provide a valid VAT number for reverse-charge billing (Business plan).
• US customers: Sales tax may apply depending on your state.
• India customers: GST (18%) is applicable and will be shown at checkout.
• Tax invoices are available in your account billing history for all transactions.

• A receipt is emailed automatically after every successful payment.
• Full invoice history is available at Account → Settings → Billing History.
• Invoices can be downloaded as PDF.
• For custom invoicing requirements (purchase orders, billing address changes), contact billing@editdocsai.com.

• We reserve the right to change subscription prices.
• You will be given at least 30 days' advance notice of any price increase via email.
• If you do not cancel before the new price takes effect, you agree to the new price.
• Price decreases take effect immediately on your next billing cycle.

If you believe a charge is incorrect, please contact us at billing@editdocsai.com before initiating a chargeback with your bank. We resolve billing disputes quickly — typically within 2 business days. Initiating an unjustified chargeback may result in suspension of your account.

Refund eligibility is governed by our Cancellation Policy. Summary:

• Full refund within 7 days of first payment if fewer than 10 files processed
• Billing errors and duplicate charges are always fully refunded
• Refunds are credited to your original payment method within 5–10 business days
