Cancellation Policy

✅ Cancel any time — no penalties, no lock-ins, no questions asked. You keep full access until the end of your current billing period.
1. Free Tier
The free tier of EditDocs AI has no subscription and therefore no cancellation process. Simply stop using the Service at any time. No action is required.
2. Paid Subscriptions — Cancellation Process
To cancel a paid subscription:
- Log in to your account at editdocsai.com
- Navigate to Account → Settings → Subscription
- Click “Cancel Subscription”
- Confirm the cancellation in the pop-up dialog
- You will receive a confirmation email within a few minutes
Alternatively, email us at billing@editdocsai.com with the subject “Cancel Subscription” and we will process it within 1 business day.
3. What Happens After Cancellation
- Continued access: Your paid features remain active until the last day of your current billing period
- No further charges: You will not be charged again after cancellation
- Downgrade: After the period ends, your account automatically reverts to the free tier
- Your data: Uploaded files are already deleted within 60 minutes. Account history and settings are retained for 30 days, then permanently deleted unless you reactivate
4. Refund Eligibility
We offer refunds in the following circumstances:

To request a refund, email billing@editdocsai.com within the eligible window. Approved refunds are processed within 5–10 business days to your original payment method.
5. Annual Plans
- Annual plans are billed upfront for the full year at a discounted rate
- You may cancel at any time to prevent auto-renewal at the end of the year
- Mid-year cancellations for annual plans do not automatically receive a pro-rata refund (except in cases of service failure or billing errors)
- We evaluate refund requests for annual plans on a case-by-case basis — contact billing@editdocsai.com
6. Subscription Pause
As an alternative to cancellation, you may pause your subscription for up to 3 months. During a pause:
- You will not be charged
- Paid features will be temporarily disabled
- Your account data and history are preserved
- Your subscription resumes automatically after the pause period
To pause, contact us at billing@editdocsai.com with subject “Pause Subscription”.
7. Account Deletion
If you wish to delete your account entirely (not just cancel the subscription), you can do so from Account → Settings → Delete Account. Account deletion:
- Cancels any active subscription immediately
- Does not automatically qualify you for a refund
- Permanently removes all account data within 30 days
- Is irreversible

Frequently Asked Questions
Will I lose my files if I cancel? +
Your uploaded files are already automatically deleted within 60 minutes of processing — this applies to all users regardless of plan. Cancellation has no additional impact on your files.
Can I reactivate after cancelling? +
Yes. You can reactivate your subscription at any time from your account settings. If your account has not been deleted, all your history and settings will be restored.
I was charged after cancelling. What should I do? +
This should not happen. If it does, please email billing@editdocsai.com immediately with your account email and the charge amount. We will investigate and refund any erroneous charge within 2 business days.
Does cancelling affect my free tier access? +
No. After cancellation and the end of your paid period, your account automatically reverts to the free tier. You can continue using free tools indefinitely.
